How to get started with Realty Dream Makers

First of all thank you for deciding to join Realty Dream Makers and we hope that we may fulfill your real estate needs. Whether you are a new or an experienced agent we welcome you with open arms. Below are the steps to take to become licensed with Realty Dream Makers.

Step - 1

If your license is currently active with another brokerage, then you will have to send the brokerage a written letter of termination of the agreement you have with them. If your are at a lost for words and do not feel like typing a letter. You can use this termination letter to give to your current brokerage. The letter is written in MS Word.

Step - 2

You will have to (if you're a new agent) activate your inactive license with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). The same form is used for actively licensed agents changing sponsoring brokers. You will need to fill out the TREC Salesman Sponsorship form. Make sure to check the correct box so that you will not have to be delayed. We will double check over it if you place a check in the wrong box. There is a $20 charge to change brokers if you are currently licensed. There is no charge for newly licensed agents with an inactive license to activate their license.

Step - 3

We are members of the Houston Association of Realtors and are required to have all members sponsored with our firm to join the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR). If our Houston members do not join HAR, we are assessed a fee in the amount of regular dues and we do not take on additional fees.

If you are a newly licensed agent you will need to join HAR by filling out their MLS Agent Application. we will have to sign page nine. If you are currently a member and changing brokerages, you will need to fill out HAR's Transfer form. Also, if you are currently active with another brokerage, have listings and your agreement with the other brokerages allows you to keep your listings, you will need to have the sellers, the other broker and us sign a Transfer of Listing form for each listing that you have.

That concludes the steps you need to take to place your license with us. After signing up with us and sending off the required paperwork to TREC and HAR, you will need to sign the following paperwork with us.
